Portrait of Anita was a final painting in a series of Residents portraits in an assisted living facility. Anita is the Activity Director for the facility and I felt a portrait of her and I would make a great body of work for an art show. The concept was based on the classic portrait by Russian Painter, Ivan Kramskoy painting a portrait of his daughter.
