Description
After a 30 minute uphill hike, my husband an I reached our destination of the historic landmark of the Wilhelm barn and house perched on the side of a magnificent view of the mountains located in Stoneham, Maine. The view was barely visible because of the overgrowth of the trees. Once a private residence of Roy Wilhelm who was suspected of being a spy during the war, but was actually a coffee broker. His beautiful estate is slowly decaying back to nature, in it's day it was once a showplace of his wealth. It was such a pleasure to sit and take in the beautiful untouch scenery of nature and paint this little watercolor as a memory of a special day and person who owned it.
